InstaHawaii is Hawaii’s first instagram art show, which will feature 100% user submitted photos, all for a good cause. The photographs will be on silent auction, and ALL proceeds will go to the Hawaii Arts Alliance, to support local youth art programs.

The submission period is NOW until January 31, 2012. We have already received more than 800 submissions to this event, however only 24 Photos will be selected to be featured in the art exhibit by our expert panel of judges.
Come to the FREE event at Fresh Cafe on February 10th at 8pm-2am. There will be prizes from Lemon and Incase. Plus SuperCW is hooking up the hosted bar from 8pm-9pm.

I think I first fell in love with Brenda Song when she was on the Disney channel, I was like, damn Brenda! She actually got discovered in San Francisco, and started doing commercials, then small TV roles, and so on. She’s dope, except that her boyfriend is Trace Cyrus, you might know his sister; Miley, and his father; Billy-Ray. She needs to ditch him, and get with me.

Mud over Matter!
Do you like mud? Do you like running? DO YOU LIKE RUNNING IN MUD!? If you answered yes to any one of these questions then maybe you would be interested in the Makahiki Challenge!
The Makahiki Challenge is a 3 mile mud run/obstacle course intended to test your physical and mental stamina. Best of all (as if getting muddy and sweaty was not enough), participants will be treated to a free pa’ina afterwards with entertainment by Kimie and Kaipo Kapua, and some beer and ono grinds!

Check out this old Kodak commercial from the 1960′s. I wonder if Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce came up with the idea for the ad? BTW, Kodak is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Sad, sad, times.
Lomo v. Instagram
Lomography is basically the reason why we have apps on our iPhones like Instagram & Hipstamatic. If you haven’t heard about Lomography, they have been in business for quite a few years. Earlier in the month they opened a flagship store in San Francisco (their 7th location in the US).
So what’s better? In my opinion I like the old school style of developing film. You have one shot and one chance to get the photo. I also like the fact that you can’t see your photo until its developed. However developing 120 film (used in some Lomography cameras) takes about a week, and it cost about $3-4 per photo. I prefer to have my picture taken with a non digital camera. It makes me feel classy.
